Details: The Season so far........
The 2008 season has got off to a slow start with weather conditions not being the most favorable and water levels at the venue being very high - they still have not receded to normal summer levels which is unheard of for this time of year.
During the winter months the venue owner completed extensive work to the bank making the venue more accesable during the high water periods.
The removal of marginal trees and shrubs so that fishing would be unaffected during this period has been a succes even though the venue now needs to green up some what!
We started our trips later this year due to the high water levels which are common in this valley.
The fishing got off to a great start with lot of fish caught (check catch reports at www.eurocarpsessions.com) with a high percentage over and above 20lbs with a good amount of 30+ fish to boot.
Our first Group landed fish over 30lbs with over 50 fish to 4 anglers Justin Ross, Keith Evans and the father and son duo, the Littles, had a great catch and time on the venue.
Del Town and family normally fish the Croix Blanche but decided for and action packed trip this time with a week at this bobbins water!
These guys really hauled all week landing 79 fish to the complex record of 40.04lbs to Del himself.
No less than 37 x 20lb+ fish and 4 x 30lb+ fish and 1 over 40lbs... for a runs water!!!
The average weight has increased no end and will surley improve as the year progresses.
What a great week well done lads!
The following week saw Tony Jenkins hit the venue and have a catch of 29 fish to 33.08 with a high percentage of 20lb+ fish to his tally... well done mate.
As you can see the venues residents have pilled on the pounds over the last 2 years with their weight getting higher each year... which can only be a good thing for our clients.
We have some trips coming up soon so will keep you posted on the results and images.
All the best,
Marty.
