What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Half normal & half pop up boilie with single shot mounted underneath normal half boilie on hair, source flavour.

General comments: Extremely peaceful & quiet location. Could have banked more fish if we had changed tactics earlier in the week.

General comments: Had a little trouble finding the place due to poor navigation, but got there in the end after a sleepless night in the car

General comments: Venue has a rat problem, didn't particularly bother us but anyone frightened of rats would consider it quite serious. Will climb into bait tins/boxes. Not an easy week weather up & down fishing for one run per day. Superb site if you want to get away from it all, very quiet lots of wildlife. NOTE FROM THE OWNERS; The rat problem will be tackled immediately.

Brief details of your catches: 18 carp - average 25lb, largest 29lb 8oz. 2 catfish - 6lb each. 1 sturgeon 24lb 6oz.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Used Quest Bait, found fishing 2 hours early morning and 4 hours in evening best, didn't fish during night, wound in at 11pm most nights. Would have caught more if coypu didn't dive down and eat my bait.

General comments: Lovely place, very peaceful. Definitely no more than 2 anglers on the lake. Thank you for changing our ferry for us on our return, very much appreciated.

Brief details of your catches: the sturgeon twice around 25.5 lbs firstly by me on boilies AND LESS THAN 24 HRS LATER MY WIFE ashley CAUGHT IT ON TUTI FRUITI BOILIES And POP UP AND PART OF A CHIPOLATA?!? !! and two catfish 4.5lbs and 5lbs. by mervyn partlett:- carp one 29.lb mirror carp . 21.lb mirror. 22.lbs common. 23.lb common and 21.lbs mirror and quite a few that got away.by ashley:- only one but a cracker the sturgeon. and me wayne:- cat 5 lbs. sturgeon, 22.lb 2.oz mirror carp, 17.lbs mirror (lookd so much bigger) 20.lbs 2.oz beautiful mirror. 24.lbs 4.oz mirror 22.lb mirror 29.lbs common 4.lbs catfish 26.lbs mirror and the morning we left suspected giant catyfish got off!

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: they didnt take much to raja spice quest baits. so used special crab and pop ups, tuti fruity and pop ups and halibut pellets and slugs for the catfish. sweetcorn, chick peas and ground up bolies for baiting up. most fishing done from base of steps and cast towards oposite bank for the cats and cast up towards deep end for majority of carp catches. sturgeon seamd to like the shallows.

Were the facilities what you expected? more than what was expected! we were completley overwelmd. shame that the canopy was so slippy my wifes dad slipd and fell on the storage box out there but apart from that aabsolutly fantastic holiday. shame no bailif came round.

Were you happy with them? completly! it was nice in the evening to go twig hunting to put in the fire, so relaxing!

Would you recommend the venue to a friend? totaly infact already have! and will definatly be returning.

General comments: wished the weather was a little better but didnt dampen our spirits at all! had an amazing time! would have liked my wife to have caught more but she was happy with what she got at never caught a fish that size before. but dont be fooled she taught me how to fish!!! . herd lots of strange noises in the night that freaked us out (nature) but had never been surounded by so many feilds before! so probabaly juast us scaring ourselves was realy funny though! we will DEFINATLEY be going back. we have uploaded our piks to our facebook also to show our catches off to our friends and some good comments all round. realy recomend this venue to everyone. :) we included our catches and what times in the visitors log book, hope it helps all who go
