General comments: It was a tough week - high pressure, sharp NE winds all week, the first frosts of the year and extremes of temperature between days and nights. This is a top class 'proper fishing' big fish venue. You really need to be a reasonably experienced angler to make the most of the fishing on offer. If you don't have much experience do yourself a big favour and fish on Old Oaks next door instead. Mehdi is simply the best host ever - top man!

General comments: Never been so disapointed. Too many rats. Saw Mehdi for 2 mins. the whole holiday the rest of the time he was not there. Caught 1 fish on the first day, then no one had a single run for the rest of the holiday. We have all been carp fishing for many years and know how to fish, this venue was lifeless.

General comments: A slow week in general due to dramatic temperature changes, but big fish were evident all the time, rolling and jumping. Getting them to feed proved difficult but would be more than happy to revisit the venue. Mehdi proved to be a cracking host who let us get on with it but was at hand if needed. We might just see you in the near future. A stunning lake with spacious pegs, a well organised venue!

General comments: Fantastic water, Mehdi great host ! Very impressed with the water well maintained by Owner Mehdi, couldn't ask for a better trip ! I visit France with Lee Measor and Co armed a camcorder to film and make fishing documentary's for DVD. Laroussi had produced for me , the finest captured fostage so far. An excellent venue in all aspects! Water craft and fish care are paramount to this lake. Fantastic fishing if methods are right. Mehdi , has to be said an excellent host and fella. Job done !

Brief details of your catches: Only able to fish three nights due to work commitments and found the fishing to be on the slow side with only one fish a superb 31.15 mirror, lost a couple of others!!! (the ones you lose always seem bigger don't they!)

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: The carp caught was on a trigga 18mm bottom bait tipped with small piece of plastic corn, other rods fished boilies over hemp and corn but following a change to corn on the hook fished over the hemp & corn hooked but lost two fish on our last day - should have tried this sooner I think.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: I think small boilies fished over particle like hemp or parti-blend was probably the most effective method at the time we were there.critically ballanced 10 to 14mm hookbaits fished over the particle did seem to work quite well.I took 17 kilos of boilies,which really is not allot for a weeks fishing in france,and i came home with about 12 kilo!Really should have taken more hemp!This may not be the case all the time,eg straight after spawning or just when they are really having it,in which case you could probably pile the bait in.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: 24mm hook baits / snowman. Solor club mix with milky toffee, squid & oct. Depths of 12-14ft were the best. Rigs at 5-6ft in daytime, black foam as hook bait on rigs.

Were you happy with them? You badly need a toilet at the far end of the lake. Also, toilet paper was not supplied which you are not told about.

General comments: Excellent fishing, fish mainly at night. To improve the venue we would: add another toilet with paper; provide plastic dustbins with liners in every swim. To stop the rats: rubbish is not taken away until the morning you leave. Mehdi is a very good host.

General comments: Fish spawing all week But it was a great feeling when i lendet the fish i had no idea what happend to me it was an insane feeling :P after eighinh the fish we saw the scale reach to 63 lb when the fish was put back into the watter i realised i probably would never catch a fish this big agaain in my life so this trips became on of the mos inforgettebel in my life and 2 years ago i cought a 49 lb mirror and even then i thought i would never catc a bigger carp like that and see now :) 63 lb so your watter is my favorit and i will nver forget it this pb will probably stand for the rest of my life :P so many thanks for having such a great lake

General comments: Great, great venue. Very big carp and very hard fighting. Mehdi is a top bloke who knows his stuff. Respect his rules, he's put them in place for a reason. I can't wait to return very soon as it was hard going due to fish spawning.

General comments: Great weeks fishing , need to work for each fish, the weather was against us but we all still caught. 6 of our 6 had new pb's.
